Well I would consider this year's project to be a success. The pirate piece went very well at the chorus concert and the boys did a great job. It was a fun and new experience working with them and they were very respectful and quiet...most of the time. I was surprised how fast they picked up on the dancing and they were really good. I think this was a good way to end my last year at the middle school and i can't wait to see what the future holds for me!

I have finished choreographing the jig for the boys' pirate piece. I also had the first after school rehearsal with all of the boys (all 44 of them...). It went very well and I was happy to see that they were excited about some of the dancing they get to do. The next rehearsal is tomorrow after school...hopefully we"ll get something done!

this years goal

this year i will be working with mrs. berg to possibly compose a violin piece to go with one of the spring chorus revue songs. Unfortunately i cannot start this until we know what music/song we are going to use.

So I finished the choreography and I'm glad it's done. I never thought it would be so hard.  So anyway lately I have been going in to work with the Ballet 3 class to teach this to them.. Unfortunatley working with kids is not my strong point so Miss Alicia is going to work with them without me for a couple of weeks.

I am still working with the Ballet 3 class to choreograph a piece for them to dance in at the 2011 workshops.  The song we are using is the deBeriot Concerto that recentley played on the violin.  I will be playing this live at the workshops while the class dances.

Choerographing

So instead of continuing choreographin the walts of the flowers, we decided to choreograph a piece for the ballet 3 class .  It is going very well.
